Robert Heugle, a partner at Byrnes O’Hern & Heugle, will be honored with the Colleen Walsh Award by the Marty Lyons Foundation on September 28th, 2021 at their Celebrity Golf Classic annual event.
The Marty Lyons Foundation was established in 1982 by legendary NFL player Marty Lyons, a defensive lineman for the New York Jets. Their mission is to fulfill the wishes of children aged 3-17 who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. As of 2020, they have granted over 8,000 wishes, giving children diagnosed with terminal illnesses the chance to experience one of their biggest dreams.
According to the Marty Lyons Foundation, the Colleen Walsh Award is given to “a friend of the Foundation, who has worked relentlessly to make the lives of children better. This recipient is the shining example of the lessons taught to us by Colleen – to show the greatest compassion and courage in tough times, to smile through adversity and to give love.”
Robert Heugle is the founder and Executive Director of the Frances Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer. The foundation’s mission is to alleviate the suffering of children fighting cancer, to provide assistance to families that are in need of financial help due to their child’s illness, and to support research aimed to terminate childhood cancers.
Mr. Heugle is proud to accept this award on behalf of the team at the Frances Foundation. “This award is a well-deserved tribute to your compassionate commitment to the Frances Foundation mission. Like I frequently say, I couldn’t be prouder of what each of you have done and continue to do for our warriors, angels, and their families.”
